Rhode Isaland Red is elegiac and musical, especially if you prefer be-bop to hip hop. Nanette is a wonderful character, a dreamer, head in the clouds, feet on the ceiling but a sleuth in the old fashioned mold, drawn into the intrigue by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. A great read and written with a sound track playing in the background.
