After struggling for nearly eight years to find INSPIRING books for my children, I dreamed of a wonderful solution, a children’s bookstore! One that had an inviting reading nook and books on the shelves filled with stories of heroes and legends from today and long ago.

All the books would help ignite dreams; dreams of athletes, ballet dancers, artists, writers, musicians, inventors, architects, astronauts, scientists, or doctors. Each child has a dream, a talent, and a passion all their own. The store would allow children to pull books off the shelves and read them over and over again.

Reading launches thoughts.
Thoughts launch dreams.
Dreams launch visions.
Visions launch action.
And those actions can change a child’s potential…forever.

What makes our store different?
A Book Above will help children gain a LOVE for reading, and a LOVE for books. And who knows WHERE that LOVE will take them!

Reading is a vital key in allowing a person to grow, and to dream. Whole populations have been “kept down” by not allowing them to learn to read, or to even have books.

A Book Above offers monthly events, weekly story times and a great selection of books for toddlers, teens and parents too!
